The Lede caught up with VBR Menon, the lawyer who battled all odds and powerful medical colleges in Puducherry before the court to secure justice for students who had been illegally denied admissions to PG medical seats in Puducherry, despite making it to the NEET list.
In a first of its kind judgement, the Madras High Court vindicated the stand of former Puducherry Lieutenant Governor (LG) Dr Kiran Bedi as well as that of lawyer Menon and penalised heavily the errant medical colleges, Puducherry government officials as well as the students who gained admission through illegal means.
